Well the election is over but the Davis team continues full speed ahead. Since the election lower Broadway is being paved, more bronze statues have been installed, more utility boxes turned into art, AFSCME employees approved a contract extension, open mike night at the museum has taken place, and more development projects approved by the Planning Board. So much for the accusation that things were happening just because of the election. Davis continues in his efforts to move the City forward.
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 16th, the Municipal budget will be introduced. The Mayor’s critics claimed that property taxes were going up over 9%. We will soon see. The prediction here is that the critics are all wet and any increase will be moderate.
